Roots Centre Roof Collapse

On a Friday morning in early March the roof of the Roots Centre over the shop, offices, storage and entrance collapsed following heavy rain and winds.  Fortunately no one was injured during the collapse and the work area for the women which is covered by a separate roof was not damaged.  The pictures below show the roof before and after the collapse.  Ruth Lugor is working with a contractor to repair the roof and cleanup of debris has begun.  Activities planned at the Centre had to be rescheduled or cancelled.  Two fundraisers were organized in Juba, one last night and one tonight.  Donations to help with the repair are also arriving.  Anything you are able to do is greatly appreciated by the women of the Centre.  The DONATE button will take you to either a PayPal or credit card donation location.  Thanks for you help .  As Nelson Mandela said, "It always seems impossible until it is done".
